17) Beverly Hills 90210



Beverly Hills, 90210 is a popular primetime television soap opera that aired from October 4, 1990, to May 17, 2000, on FOX in the United States and subsequently on various networks around the world. The show followed the lives of a group of teenagers living in the posh, star-studded community of Beverly Hills, California and attending the fictitious West Beverly Hills High School and then fictitious California University. The show was created by producers Aaron Spelling and Darren Star. The "90210" in the title refers to one of the suburb's postal codes (or ZIP Code).

Originally the central characters were fraternal twins Brandon (played by Jason Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (played by Shannen Doherty), who moved with their parents, Jim and Cindy, from Minneapolis to Beverly Hills. However, during the show's run, its focus shifted substantially. The show addressed many topical issues like date rape, alcoholism, drug abuse, teen suicide and teen pregnancy.

Although the first season had low ratings, FOX stuck by the show partially out of desperation due to the lack of original programming available for the network at the time[citation needed]. The show gained popularity during the summer of 1991, when FOX aired a special "summer season" of the show while most other series were in reruns. The series became one of FOX's top shows when it began its season that fall. Viewership increased dramatically and the cast members, particularly Priestley and Luke Perry, became teen idols, while the series would make actresses Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling household names.

对了，你看desparate housewives吗？我以前一直没看，觉得这种housewife题材的剧可能不怎么好。后来我在火车上听见一些学生讨论这个剧，所以我回家也看了看，发现没我想象得那么遭耶，还算不错~

19) The Nanny - 天才保姆



弗兰是一个性格张扬的女性，刚刚辞去在她男朋友店里作为新娘顾问的工作，第一次出现在百老汇制片人麦克斯威尔- 谢菲尔德家门口的台阶上叫卖化妆品。麦克斯威尔家的保姆在他的小儿子上演了一出“自杀”的闹剧后提出辞职，她不失时机成为他家三个孩子的保姆。不久，弗兰以其不落俗套的教育方式和求实正直的态度感动了麦克斯威尔和孩子们。

　　于是出现了蓝领遇贵族的情境。弗兰通过向古板正经的麦克斯威尔及其问题多端的孩子们略施一剂“强者逻辑”，来帮助他们建立起一个身心健康、美满、幸福的家。

oh..no..not horror at all...u know I'm not really into horror films and stuff like that..supernatural is really ok...it's like watching the x-files..well..not in a scientific way.

i'm up to season 2 now...but the story starts to drag abit in season 2..though u still got some pretty "supernatural" stuff going on but their main purpose is help and find their father and hunt down the devil that killed their mother.
Anyway, have a go!

20) Melrose Place - 飞越情海

讲起Melrose Place大家可能不知道,但是讲起[Friends]大家就很清楚了,[Friends]这部影集的制作群非常坚强,他们从最早期的[90210]开始创下连续拍摄最久演员连许演出最多年的纪录,让小演员从高中少年演到成家立业,剧中复杂精采的情爱纠葛,也影响我们后来讲到朋友或者猴群狗党之间互来换去的男女关系时会乾脆以[90210]这几个字来形容....[喂!你们的90210演到哪一集了?] 正当全世界都依依不舍于[90210]的剧情终结时,制作人Spelling先生于是带领这组超强制作与编剧Team,立即又呈现给大家这出--以好莱坞拜金男女间情爱纠葛为主题的超强剧集也就是[Melrose Place],顾名思义也就是发生在Melrose Street的事情,故事讲述发生在好莱坞的[Melrose Street]一栋高级出租公寓[Melrose Place]的故事,这栋公寓对着接的入口是一个栱型的砖墙与铁栅栏,穿过拱门栅栏来到迷你小中庭,中庭有个小游泳池,围绕泳池四周有几张躺椅,而建筑有两层楼,剧中演员分别就住在一二楼。

my favorite couple was amanda&peter, my favorite character were megan (a hooker with a kind heart) and amanda (well, she can be cold and nasty when talking about her work and business, but still, i like the character. in the end she lost her agency and her money, but she turned to a "normal" woman, with heart and feelings). jane was fine too, the writters finally paired her with kyle (they were real-life couple, he he )

ps. where did you find the chinese translation of "Melrose Place"?? ha ha, funny translation (kind of) apparently... it has nothing to do with the original english title

My fav. character is Megan. haha..u know I always find all these chinese translation on English movie/drama title very funny.. I mean I'm not used to chinese title etc...anyway, I got all these information from the edonkey china site.

21) Six Feet Under - 六英尺下



《六英尺下》讲述的是一个专门从事殡葬服务家庭的逸事，围绕这个麻烦家庭的生活琐事、他们的关系和矛盾，展现一群普通人的悲喜苦乐。
影片中的费舍家族由四个成员组成，母亲露斯、大儿子奈特、小儿子大卫和小女儿嘉儿。费舍殡葬业的创办人父亲纳赛尼尔。费舍尽管已经不在人世，但是他的形象却经常出现在家人的幻想中。他留下的家族业务由家庭的其余四个人员打理。长子奈特一直在殡葬业务和初为人父的家庭角色中寻找平衡；而母亲露斯则希望与儿孙们拉近距离；次子大卫独自在外居住，和他合住的是他极度情绪化的合伙人基斯。查尔斯；小女儿富有艺术天赋，处于精力充沛的青春期。

该剧讲的其实是有关：生、死、罪、死后的生活等问题，每一集都会有一个人死，各种各样的死法，残酷的、荒诞的…….这些逝去的人们被送到那个开殡仪馆的家里，在那儿生者与死者进行对话，死者回首自己的人生。有庆幸也有牵挂，而生者会因死亡而被触动，思索什么才是短暂人生的意义。

22) Numbers - 数字追凶



Rob Morrow扮演的FBI探员和他那具备超乎常人数学天才的弟弟Charlie一起侦破了在L.A发生的大范围严重罪案。Charlie对案件独特的思考方式让Don的同僚Terry Lake 和David Sinclair 都感到十分惊讶。与此同时，Don和Charlie的父亲对于两个儿子专注执着的个性会否使彼此在工作中产生摩擦感到担心。Larry Fleinhardt 是Charlie的学院导师，他希望Charlie专注于学术研究而不是浪费无谓的精力帮助警方破案。

NUMB3RS将会通过真实的事例，反映数学理论是如何被应用到警方的调查之中，从而破解一件件匪夷所思的罪案。


Well, I only finished Season 1 for [Numbers]..after that I got bored with the series..because it make sense in some part that maths do play an important role in our daily lives...i just couldn't imagined that they actually really solve the case based on Charlie's calculations. I mean I think by solving a crime "Forensic Science" plays much more important role.

23) That 70's show - 70年代秀



Eric Forman is a typical high school student growing up in Wisconsin in 1976 with his family and his friends. Together, they have the same kind of joys and sorrows that just about every teenager has while growing up. This show parodied many of the attitudes, events and fads of the 70's, along with those who grew up at the time and are now in their 30's-40's.

This is another one of my fav. american soap drama... =) very funny!

Amanda就是工作起来太自我了，她的job and carrier永远最重要，所以最后她最好的结局就是失掉agency and money，否则她永远都是个"冷血女人"，呵呵~
